A weekend in Las Vegas marked a major milestone for the program, as it competed in its first-ever out-of-state event at one of the country’s top summer tournaments featuring teams from across the nation. The trip combined strong on-court performances with meaningful off-court experiences that helped bring the group closer together.
The weekend opened with a dominant 52–26 win over BTI. From the opening tip, the group controlled the game on both ends, setting the tone with rim pressure and efficient offense. Myles McDonnell, Jaden Javaheri, and Rohan Grewal all made their presence felt, each playing a major role in building and extending the lead.
The next game carried extra meaning, as the team faced Posse at Bishop Gorman High School, the alma mater of Coach Dilan. After a competitive first half, the group took full control after the break, outscoring Posse by 23 points in the second half on the way to a 54–27 win. Jaden Javaheri led the charge with a standout 30-point performance, putting together a dominant showing in a familiar gym.
The weekend wrapped up with a 54–34 win over Team Alpha, completing a strong overall showing in Las Vegas and reinforcing the team’s consistency across multiple games.
Beyond the results, the trip was defined by time spent together off the court. The team bonded through activities like bowling, Topgolf, and attending the NBA Summer League, experiences that strengthened chemistry and made the weekend about more than just basketball.
