The Game

In the Beach Basketball the rectangular court has smaller dimensions than a regular court, being marked on the sides, the middle and the back lines. No existing lane, the sand is batted down, straightened with a special broom and when necessary it is wet.

Baskets are fixed on backboards, the balls are made of nylon and lighter than normal ones, the scores is diferentiated to promote more elasticity and dynamismon the beach sport.

The players play without shoes or with sooks. There are four players per team with one reserve.

Generally the Beach Basketball do not use court tatics because the court is smaller and only 3 players on each team, the game is faster due to the difficulty of kicking the ball constantly, its similar to the game of 3 by 3 not been allowed kicking the bal, but on the beach basketball it is allowed to kick the ball. Due to the velocity ot the team lots of Ally-oop are done, and worthing 4 points they are used all the possible times, making the game more exciting and creating emotions all the time.
